Selvanieve Expediciones is an Ecuadorian/British owned tour operator, specialised in Amazon jungle, climbing, and trekking tours throughout Ecuador. We also provide mountain biking, horseback riding, rafting and canyoning, as well as visits to traditional villages and indigenous markets. As the pioneer of tourism in the town of Baños-Tungurahua back in 1988, our founder Fabiàn Pineda opened the first tourist information office and also created the  first tourist map of Baños in order to promote the area which is now one of the most visited places in Ecuador.  With this new found experience in the first few years, and seeing the touristic potential in the province of Cotopaxi, Selvanieve opened it's first branch office in the city of Latacunga where it quickly became a school for new guides and other tour operators. We are the longest standing tour operator in the area and have built our reputation on providing quality tours and working with a group of dedicated personnel who are responsible, reliable and who provide the highest level of service. Our philosphy has always been to provide high quality, professional and innovative tours across all regions of Ecuador - continuously looking to improve the level of service we provide to our clients. With this in mind, we are always checking out new destinations and routes to provide you, our clients, with the best that Ecuador was to offer!

The name Selvanieve originates from the union of the two natural marvels which Ecuador boasts – the selva (jungle), in honour of the Amazon Rainforest, and the nieve (snow), in honour of the perpetual snow and glaciers which cover the region’s majestic volcanoes.

Our Ecuadorian/British directors work together with a group of guides who are well qualified with many years of experience and are fluent in a variety of languages including Spanish, English, French and German.
